I want to share with all of you something that I learnt by myself using Windows Help
Just now I managed to crack the partition for my sis's new lappy (laptop I mean)
All we need is Windows Help and skills to understand and follow..
- You must click on the Startup then click on Control Panel.
- Click on the System and Security then you find the Administrative Tools and click on Create and format hard disk partitions.
- As you can see the new window entitled Disk Management appear.
- If there is no unallocated partition, you have to create one. You have to repartition the hard disk. Right-click the volume you want to shrink, and then click Shrink Volume. Follow the instructions.
- You'll have the unallocated partition in your hard disk. Right-click an unallocated partition on your hard disk, and then click New Simple Volume.
- In the New Simple Volume Wizard, click Next.
- Type the size of the volume you want to create in megabytes (MB) or accept the maximum default size, and then click Next.
- Accept the default drive letter or choose a different drive letter to identify the partition, and then click Next.
- In the Format Partition dialog box, do one of the following:
- If you don't want to format the volume right now, click Do not format this volume, and then click Next.
- To format the volume with the default settings, click Next.
-
- Review your choices, and then click Finish.
Note
- When you create new partitions on a basic disk, the first three will be formatted as primary partitions. Beginning with the fourth, each one will be configured as a logical drive within an extended partition.
-
Hope this will help you guys on how to create a partition on your personal computer.
